Job Purpose

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing 3rd party and intercompany suppliers for Fernox Ltd. Your role will be to ensure that the suppliers meet the company's quality standards, deliver products on time, and at a competitive price. You will be expected to build strong relationships with the suppliers, monitor their performance, and identify opportunities for improvement besides finding alternatives to leverage suppliers geographically.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of buyers and other personnel managing and administering logistics and customs activities.
  • Manage the suppliers for Fernox Ltd, ensuring that they meet the company's quality standards and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring that Fernox Ltd gets a competitive price for its products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that they understand Fernox Ltd's requirements and expectations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement, working with suppliers to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments within Fernox Ltd to ensure that suppliers meet the company's requirements for quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Continuously seek out new suppliers and materials to ensure that Fernox Ltd has a diverse and reliable supply chain.
  • Ensure that all sourcing activities comply with ESI ethical and legal standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of chemical blending and/or the manufacturing process for brass and plastic plumbing fittings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
