MacDermid Graphics Solutions is a supplier of consumable materials used to transfer images on to consumer packaging materials, our products are used to improve print quality and printing productivity. We produce and market photopolymers through an extensive line of flexographic plates that are used in the consumer packaging and printing industries. Photopolymers are molecules that change properties upon exposure to light.

Job Purpose

As the Sales and Operations Planner – Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) you will develop and implement short and long-term supply chain plans that address supply, demand, and subsequent inventory needs in support of business growth. You will become an expert in your coverage area, working towards understanding relationships with both internal and external suppliers. In addition, you will develop working relationships with regional supply chain and cross functional business areas to continue to drive a collaboration across the organization.

To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of forecasting and inventory management policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends, demand patterns, and sales’ input
  • Leveraging your demand forecast, recommend inventory stock plans and subsequent production needs to best balance our working capital goals while also providing excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • This role will act as the bridge between the company’s sales and operations verticals.
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities for EMEA.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Work on director sponsored projects and/or process improvements (including associated cost analysis)
  • Participate in and support monthly SIOP activities
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate, plan and execute NPI processes

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in supply chain / demand planning
  • Proficient using MRP, analytics and reporting tools
  • Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills coupled with proficiency in PowerPoint
    • Role is data heavy in nature and candidate must be fluent in assimilating relevant data
  • Proven ability to automate where possible & leverage technology to create efficiency, accuracy and process repeatability
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Exceptional analytic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player and self-motivated
  • Must be able to work independently / self-starter

Nice to Have

  • S&OP experience
  • Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese
  • 3+ years SAP system working experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or comparable training)
  • APICS Certification

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Relevant industry
