Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a practical, creative, and extremely talented Chemist to join our applications development team. The Applications Chemist will be responsible for providing local, site-specific support for our product development functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for scale up and testing of proprietary additives and components coming from research and development under the guidance of their supervisor. The applications chemist will characterize the processes utilizing DoE methodologies and the deposits by physical and chemical methods providing feedback to research and development. In addition they will assist in developing and implementing analytical techniques for products and processes as well as assist in production scale-up, field installation and trouble-shooting as necessary

What will you be doing?

  • Assist senior Analytical Chemists and/or Research Chemists in product research and development, in process improvement on existing products and in technical problem solving
  • Set up and operate lab equipment and perform a variety of established, complicated tests and lab analyses
  • Perform specialized tests and experiments with the guidance of the Senior Research Scientist.  May perform minor equipment adjustments and troubleshooting
  • Record and interpret data, summarize experimental results, and prepare reports and presentations
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment according to lab specific procedures
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Who are You?

  • BS degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • 1-2 years of related experience working in chemistry laboratories

The typical base salary range for this position is between $69,561.00 to $104,341.00
