Job Purpose

The Technical Services Engineer provides sales and technical support to accounts in the assigned area. They ensure maximum market penetration of the company’s products in the marketplace by building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing solutions, training, and support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Practical demonstration of products at customer premises
  • Train distributor reps and accompany on sales calls
  • Report on competitive activity in region
  • Report weekly on activity and target account progress
  • Identify end-users and develop / maintain strong sales relationships
  • Problem solving product application issues both during testing and once installed
  • Extensive travel required up to 75%
  • Reporting: activity reports, audits, expenses, as required
  • May be required to travel outside Region and possible internationally to assist with new start ups and technical issues related to respective expertise
  • Will work as an integral part of a service and sales team.
  • Requires extensive communication with manager and the rest of the sales / service and marketing team
  • This position requires the set-up of a home office so residence within the assigned territory is essential. 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • BS in related science or experience working in the Chemical industry OR Industrial Manufacturing for 2+ years.
  • Easily and quickly develops solid relationships with customers and other team members.

Education

Bachelor's Degree preferred in Chemistry or Industrial Engineering
