Who are we looking for?
The Business Director - West Region is responsible for developing and achieving sales forecast for assigned region. Responsibilities include; managing a team of Account Managers and Technical Service, developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and prospective customers, responsibility for business results within the designated geographic area. This position can exist anywhere in the West Coast region.
What will you be doing?
- Develop area strategic and tactical focus that align with company goals and polices.
- Perform direct sales activities as well as provide leadership, vision and management to sales staff.
- Facilitate & support demand creation utilizing competitive intelligence data and applying appropriate financial models.
- Manages a team of regional territory managers and technical specialists.
- Promote the necessary discipline to execute company’s sales methodology .
- Manage the regional sales processes.
- Recruits, hires, develops, coaches, sets performance expectations, deals with non-performers.
- Motivate and train selling skills as well as product applications.
- Develops and maintains high level contacts with key accounts senior management level.
- Implements price increases and/or product changes, and manages customers through the activity.
- This position is responsible for working with various functions and departments within ESI.
- This position has direct interactions with outside external organizations and functions.
- Provide quality staff management for direct reports and is responsible for administrative responsibilities including performance evaluations, mentoring, skills development, disciplinary actions, recruitment and salary management.
Who are You?
- Bachelor’s degree is Preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of field sales experience required
- Minimum of 10 years of job related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable sales management experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes or similar software

- Attention to detail, and ability to prioritize activities in a multi-tasked environment.
- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of marketing, practices and procedures to the completion of both recurring and more difficult tasks/assignments.
- Demonstrated "presence" and excellent communication skills, written and verbal, consistent with working with all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated skills in: Coaching/developing individuals, Financial metrics, management. Selling, negotiating, conflict resolution and handling objections.
