What will you be doing?

As an Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring our production processes and equipment run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Carry out routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and complete effective repairs.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimise disruption.

Project & Engineering Support

  • Support engineers with installing, testing, and commissioning new equipment and upgrades.
  • Provide technical input into improvement projects and design reviews.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and maintenance records.

Safety & Compliance

  • Work safely at all times and follow site procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Take part in risk assessments, permit‑to‑work processes, and safety improvement activities.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and report any issues or hazards.

Operational Support

  • Work closely with the operations team to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist with planned shutdowns and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and cross‑functional teams to support day‑to‑day operations.

What competencies will you need?

  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues quickly and effectively.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of safe work practices, permit systems, and risk control in industrial environments.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work across engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
  • Planning & Prioritisation: Skilled at managing workload, planning maintenance tasks, and responding to urgent issues.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Accurate record‑keeping and ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Experience with lean practices, reliability engineering, or process optimisation is a plus.
  • Computer Literacy: Comfortable using CMMS systems, digital tools, and standard office applications.
