MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is a global supplier of industrial metal and plastic finishing chemistries.  We primarily design and manufacture chemical systems that protect and decorate surfaces. Our high-performance functional coatings improve resistance to wear and tear, such as hard chrome plating of shock absorbers for cars or provide corrosion resistance for appliance parts. Our decorative performance coatings apply finishes for parts in various end markets such as automotive interiors or jewelry surfaces. As part of our broader sustainable solutions platform, we also provide both chemistry and equipment for turnkey wastewater treatment and recycle and reuse solutions. Our industrial customer base is highly diverse and includes customers in the following end markets: appliances and electronics equipment; automotive parts; industrial parts; plumbing goods; construction equipment and transportation equipment.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Product & Strategy responsible for the overall product strategy, innovation, and execution across the company. As a member of the executive leadership team, this position will lead the North American product management team to deliver products that align with the company’s vision, meet customer needs, and drive business growth. They have a proven track record of shaping product portfolios, developing and launching successful products, and strong leadership skills to coordinate and inspire across functions and regional businesses. 

What will you be doing?

Product Strategy

  • Own the top-level MEIS Strategic Plan.
  • Own the Strategy Deployment toolkit and process. 
  • Lead, develop, and enable a team of Product Managers in the MEIS business verticals to:
    • Define and communicate clear product roadmaps aligned with multiple lines of business.
    • Drive Voice-of-Customer (VoC) collection and experimentation to develop proprietary market maps & market segmentation to guide how and where to invest in the market and within the product portfolio. 
    • Perform competitive analysis to identify differentiated customer value propositions with product, service, and GTM levers.
    • Identify market opportunities for organic and inorganic growth.

 

Product Lifecycle Management

 

  • Own and lead New Product Development process from concept to launch.
  • Lead, develop, and enable a team of Product Managers in the MEIS business verticals to:
    • Proactively manage the full product lifecycle, including new product development, new product launch, growth, maintenance, and end-of-life phases.
    • Guide the R&D team to design new solutions and features, while prioritizing ROI to the business.

 

 

Cross-Functional and Cross-Business Leadership Lead and mentor cross-functional business leaders & product teams at peer level, with a solid line global product team, and dotted line business vertical product teams.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

 

Customer & Market Focus

  • Champion the voice of the customer in all product decisions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable product improvements.

Who are You?

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior product leadership roles, ideally within a B2B-focused organization or industry.
  • Expertise in strategy formulation. 
  • Deep experience in strategy deployment tools, e.g. Hoshin Kanri Strategy / Policy Deployment. Strong track record of building and scaling successful products.
  • Deep understanding of product management, strategic marketing, and their associated toolkits.
  • Experience driving functional excellence through both direct control and influence over a portfolio of businesses. 
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Technical background or experience working closely with R&D and Application Development teams.
  • Passion for innovation and customer-centric design.

The expected salary range for this position is $256,442 to $384,664 per year.
