Who are we looking for?
The incumbent is a key member to support Purchasing Manager to execute procurement strategy on daily basis for Singapore plant. He/She is in charge of operation level negotiation with suppliers and working together with cross-functional teams to support business plan and comply with procurement code of conduct strictly to carry out daily work.
What will you be doing?
- Review and analyse materials requirements for production and execute the vital actions such as generating Purchase Order, scheduling and re-scheduling of material based on MRP requirement
- Coordinate with operations team on material purchasing plan to support production and ensure continuous material supply.
- Manage import operation and administer required documents with suppliers, forwarder and operation teams
- Coordinate escalated supply issue e.g., shipment delay, documents status
- Manage and control raw material inventory level to optimize stock turnover to achieve desired company inventory turn objective.
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage supplier base to achieve delivery performance and negotiate with supplier to ensure optimum cost competitiveness.
- Manage supplier relationships, resolve supplier issues, and supply risks.
- Participating in internal and external audits
- Provide support in sourcing, price checking and new source qualification process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sourcing team, Production, Quality Assurance, etc.) to ensure sourcing meets production timelines, cost targets, and product specifications.
- Provide support on project related procurement aspects
Who are You?
- Possess a Diploma / Degree in supply chain management, business management or chemical engineering is a plus.
- 3-5 years working experience in supply chain management or procurement
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with mainland China suppliers
- Detail-Oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance in all tasks.
- Able to manage multiple priorities effectively and keep processes running smoothly.
- Able to anticipate needs and take initiative to resolve issues before it is escalated.
- You thrive in a dynamic environment and can adjust to changing priorities.
What competencies will you need?
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to manage documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Clear verbal and written communication for supplier and internal coordination.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management.
