Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead complex, high-impact capital projects from concept to completion. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background, strategic mindset, and proven leadership in project execution. You’ll be instrumental in shaping our manufacturing capabilities and driving operational excellence.
What will you be doing?
- Project Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver capital projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Engineering Oversight: Provide technical direction across all phases of project development—conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, EH&S, finance, supply chain) and external partners (vendors, contractors, consultants).
- Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and company standards for safety, environmental impact, and quality.
- Budget & Schedule Control: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in engineering practices, project delivery models, and technology adoption.
Who are You?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience: 10+ years in engineering roles within the chemical or process industries, with significant experience in capital project execution.
What competencies will you need?
- Strong knowledge of process design, equipment specification, and construction practices
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSHA, EPA, REACH)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
