Who are we looking for?

The EHS Intern role is a paid internship that supports the Alpha Environmental, Health and Safety Team.  The EHS Intern will work closely with the EHS staff to set up systems and processes to meet corporate and governmental EHS requirements.   The job will tentatively be Monday through Friday, 30 to 40 hours per week May through August.

What will you be doing?

Some project related work the EHS Intern will work on will consist of:   

  • Update Lockout Tagout Procedures.    
  • Update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) inventory and finalize the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) implementation  
  • Assist with the implementation of Job Safety Analysis. This will consist of converting the written work instructions into JSA format. This process will also consist of conducting risk assessments for jobs.   
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and implement Joh Hazard Analyses throughout the facility and assist with conducting air and noise survey. 
  • All other project work as assigned.
