SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to provide global technical, managerial, and supervisory direction to develop new processes and improve existing processes for quality and reduce cost.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction to develop new guidelines and procedures for Argomax Film Casting and the fulfillment of Non- Engineered samples.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes for new and current Argomax Films. Ensure the manufacturing process is stable, robust, and controlled.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining manufacturing procedures for Argomax Film.
  • Responsible for creating specifications for new products, and for updating the existing product specifications in CPro Ensure good process capabilities on all processes linked to the Argomax film.
  • Engage in continuous improvement investigations for all Film casting processing steps.
  • Responsible for continuous process improvement projects to improve quality and cost.
  • Perform root cause analysis of non-conformance issues arising in manufacturing and use of manufactured products.
  • Prepare preventive maintenance plans, ensures that they are up-to-date and adhered to.
  • Participate in equipment builds and support using internal or external resources.
  • Works closely with R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, CTS Engineers and Environmental on all aspects of manufacturing.
  • Provides technical direction for special projects of a complex nature requiring engineering and technical expertise.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus.
  • Relevant experience includes operational roles in the coating, casting or converting industries where functional surfaces or layers are applied continuously to a flexible moving web, ten crosslinked, dried or consolidated.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures
  • Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Uses structured problem solving methodologies and is skilled in Root Cause Analysis strategies.
  • Addresses inquiries and resolves problems by using appropriate resources/other departments to achieve results/answers.
  • Present a professional attitude and handle confidential information according to non-disclosure guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to speak read and write English. 
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
