Who are we looking for?
- To provide leadership as the EH&S Manager in Singapore, to ensure compliance to corporate and local safety and regulatory requirements.
- Lead site audits, provide guidance to local team members to improve on EH&S controls in the plant, and verify effectiveness of implementation to ensure a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment.
- Work closely with corporate EHS team to roll out global EHS initiatives.
What will you be doing?
- Ensure compliance to Corporate EHS Policy, implement actions to drive compliance and improvements.
- Lead and facilitate compliance, EHS and sustainability internal/external audits/surveys.
- Lead incident and accident investigation. Follow up on effectiveness of implemented actions.
- Responsible to review Environmental test reports, implement actions to improve any out-of- control conditions, and follow up on effectiveness.
- Plan EHS training programs to increase safety awareness especially in a chemical plant.
- Promote zero accident culture in the company to strive group EHS KPI targets.
- Responsible as Fire Safety Manager and MOM appointed Safety Officer.
- Owns the EHS management system and documentation. MR for ISO14001 and 45001.
- Other relevant ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Who are You?
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree ideally in safety related or environmental discipline.
- Track record in implementing EHS initiatives including driving safety awareness and safety culture within an organization.
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
What competencies will you need?
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM; with at least 2 years of experiences and sound knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation
- Certified Fire Safety Manager with Singapore Civil Defence Force.
- Excellent leadership and teamwork qualities in a diversified work environment.
- Additional certification in HS, occupational safety and health, safety auditing, environmental control, confined space assessment, site incident controller, work height etc. will be added advantage.
- Familiar with licensing requirements under NEA, SCDF and SPF for chemical industries.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
