Who are we looking for?

We now have an opportunity for Strategic Account Manager to join our SAS team.

  • Typically managed at the organizational level, Strategic Account Management is the systematic approach of building and growing long-term, value-added, and mutually beneficial relationships with a named set of our most important customers.
  • Strategic Account Management places priority, focus, resources, and collaboration on specific accounts that can help us (or are helping us) grow the business in significant ways. 
  • When done effectively…

    i. We foster development, growth, and retention at all levels within these specific accounts.

    ii. We maximize the value we bring to these customers’ businesses by enabling their strategies and success.

    iii. And we maximize the value these accounts bring to ESI through revenue and profit potential, relationships, and access to markets and technologies.

What will you be doing?

  • The Strategic Account Manager is directly responsible for achieving year-over-year revenue and margin growth targets as well as assigned strategic account development goals and objectives for a small number of incredibly important customers for our business (possibly even 1).
  • The Strategic Account Manager is dedicated-to and hyper-focused on his/her assigned accounts.  He/she acts as the orchestra conductor for aligning and coordinating the resources required (both internally and externally) to achieve our mutual strategies and successes.
  • The Strategic Account Manager is our main face and voice to the customer and is missioned to help us achieve trusted advisor status in the eyes of the customer by helping them meet their strategic initiatives utilizing our products and services in their business.
  • The Strategic Account Manager leads the development-of and is accountable-to the goals, objectives, and milestones of a strategic account plan.  He/she aligns our businesses, technologies, resources, and capabilities to the customer’s strategies to maximize our mutual opportunities for growth and success.

Who are You?

EDUCATION AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor required.  Graduate degree and specific credentials in a related field are encouraged.
  • Proficient English language capability – written and verbal.

INDUSTRY DOMAIN & VERTICAL EXPERIENCE

  •  > 5 years relevant experience. 
  • Strong industry / domain / vertical experience and knowledge. 
  • Some network in the industry and/or target sector.
  • Experience selling specific and related technologies and/or adjacent technologies.

What competencies will you need?

To be successful in this role, you will need to have below skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute account plans with multi-year vision.
  • Plans characterized by disciplined objective setting with associated action plans.
  • Strong business/account management skills (negotiation, seeing and quantifying value, expectation management).
  • Competence with principles and structure of P&L.
  • Proficient / Credible command of products and applications as related to business segment.
  • Capability to manage large multi-national, multi-factory, multi-product-segment account.
  • Strong individual project/time management skills.
  • Strong competence with sales process and CRM systems.
  • Comfortable following a consistent team-based sales process and methodology for strategic account management planning – where account planning horizons could span 2-5 years and new opportunity sales cycles could last 9-18 months depending on the size and duration of the contract.
  • Mature, Senior-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop effective and meaningful customer relationships at all levels – Strategic, Financial, Operational, and Technical.
  • Strong skills linked to gaining cooperation and motivation across internal, cross-functional teams, locally and globally. Mobilizes teams.
