Who are we looking for?

We now have an opportunity for Analytical Engineer to join our GDAC team.

The Analytical Engineer is responsible for conducting chemical analysis of plating solutions and physical analysis of PCB samples within the GDAC technical center. This role ensures accurate characterization, monitoring, and troubleshooting of electroplating processes, supporting product development, quality control, and customer technical service. The position plays a critical role in maintaining analytical accuracy, improving process understanding, and driving continuous improvement in plating performance.

What will you be doing?

1.Perform routine and advanced chemical analysis of plating baths, including additives, contaminants, and metal concentration, using techniques such as titration, spectroscopy, chromatography, and other analytical methods.

2.Conduct physical and microstructural analysis of PCB samples, including cross-section analysis, thickness measurement, surface morphology, and defect investigation (e.g., dimple, void, plating uniformity).

3.Support process troubleshooting and failure analysis, identifying root causes related to plating chemistry or process conditions.

4.Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment (e.g., ICP, HPLC, XRF, SEM, elongation ), ensuring reliability and compliance with laboratory standards.

5.Develop and optimize analytical methods and testing procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.

6.Prepare and deliver technical reports summarizing analytical results, trends, and recommendations for internal teams and customers.

7.Collaborate closely with application engineers, and customers to support product development, qualification, and process optimization.

8.Ensure adherence to laboratory safety, quality standards, and documentation requirements.

9.Provide technical support for customer samples, pilot runs, and troubleshooting cases, including data interpretation and solution recommendations.

10.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance analytical capability, lab efficiency, and data quality.

Who are You?

1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.

2. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
