Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Technical Service Manager to lead our technical service function across key markets. This role is pivotal in driving customer satisfaction, supporting product innovation, and enabling commercial success through technical excellence. You will lead a team of engineers and specialists, manage high-impact customer projects, and act as a technical ambassador for our product portfolio.
What will you be doing?
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a team of technical service engineers, fostering a high-performance and customer-centric culture.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the senior technical contact for strategic customers, providing expert guidance, resolving complex issues, and building long-term relationships.
- Technical Strategy: Define and execute technical service strategies aligned with business goals, market needs, and innovation priorities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, sales, marketing, and regulatory teams to support product development, launch, and lifecycle management.
- Project Oversight: Manage large-scale technical service projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform technical positioning and product improvements.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure all technical service activities meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Who are You?
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in technical service, application development, or product support within the chemical industry, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Industry Expertise: Proven track record in managing technical service functions in sectors such as coatings, polymers, adhesives, or specialty chemicals.
- Languages: Fluent in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regionally or globally to support customers and teams.
