Who are we looking for?

MacDermid Alpha is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic WLP Regional Demand Planner , this person will be responsible for the supply and demand plans for EU organizations, including warehouse, transportation and customer facing activities in the region. This position involves day-to-day responsibilities for planning, inventory, logistics, and communication with key accounts. The coordinator will report functionally to the WLP Customer Service and Demand Planning Manager and the Regional Account Manager for the reconciliation of all demands and requirements. The coordinator must define and deliver against specific metrics and targets (Service, Inventory, Costs) to ensure daily operational delivery for the region.

What will you be doing?

  • Coordinate demand planning & logistics flow from the manufacturing site to distribution ( FR/DE/IT)
  • Implement regional and global company initiatives, e.g. best practices, Quality improvements and use of standardized software’s optimize inventory levels (based on historical demands, reliability of supply and sales forecasts) to operate the business with the targeted DII.
  • Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to resolve critical stock outs, late items supplied by the manufacturing sites and Quality inquiries/escalations.
  • Manage the communication plan on stock out and late item resolution locally and with foreign intercompany partners.
  • Serve as the escalation point locally and with intercompany partners on key delivery issues.
  • Proactively review overdue deliveries to customers, conducting the root cause analysis and work with the broader supply chain team to resolve the issues.
  • Review forecast accuracy where applicable and work cross functionally with Production, Sales, Product Management, Finance, and demand & production planning teams to update.
  • Create back-up system across the region in terms of people shortages.
  • Identify process areas for improvement (transportation, warehousing, planning, quality); collect, analyze, and manage data.
  • Search for opportunities in fields of improving sustainability topics in the organization – including environmental and social sustainability as it relates to office or lab practices.
  • Identifying process areas for development and improvement and leading transformational changes to improve service and controls.
  • Manage controls and process documentation – ensuring they are relevant and up to date.

Who are You?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business.or Supply Chain Management with 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels 
  • Accomplished Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills. Experience with ERP system, knowledge of JDE is a plus 
  • Experience with Pareto and Root Cause Analysis.
  • ISO9001 and ISO14001 knowledge and experience preferred
