Who are we looking for?
The HR Manager Italy leads the country HR agenda across the Italian organization, covering 4 sites including manufacturing operations (+ 250 employees). The role ensures that people priorities are aligned with business needs, Italian labour requirements and the Continental Europe HR strategy. Acting as a trusted partner to country, site and functional leaders, the role supports organizational effectiveness, employee relations, talent development, engagement and change implementation. It also develops and guides the local HR team, collaborates effectively with HR CoEs and regional HR stakeholders, and ensures consistent, high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle. The position contributes to European HR initiatives and ensures their successful, pragmatic implementation within the Italian business context.
The position is based in Trecate (NO), Italy.
What will you be doing?
- Lead the HR agenda for Italy across 4 sites, including manufacturing operations, partnering with country, site and functional leaders to translate business needs into clear people priorities and actions.
- Manage employee relations, labour relations and HR compliance matters in Italy, ensuring alignment with local legislation, company policies and applicable collective agreements.
- Drive core HR processes including workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, compensation input, talent review and succession planning, in close collaboration with the Talent Acquisition CoE on recruitment delivery and hiring priorities.
- Coach and support managers on leadership effectiveness, organizational effectiveness, change management, engagement and individual employee matters.
- Lead, develop and coordinate the local HR team, ensuring clear priorities, strong capability, effective service delivery and alignment with European HR standards.
- Contribute to European HR projects and initiatives, representing Italian requirements, coordinating local implementation and ensuring alignment between European standards and local business/site needs.
- Supervise Time& Attendance and payroll delivery for Italy in collaboration with the Payroll CoE, ensuring timely inputs, effective issue resolution, compliance and a reliable employee experience.
- Oversee selected common site services and employee-related general services, including benefits administration, company car fleet coordination, reception services and other shared site support activities, ensuring consistency, compliance and an effective employee experience across Italian sites.
Who are You?
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Law, Psychology or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in an international industrial or manufacturing environment, including experience supporting multiple sites, managing employee relations, overseeing payroll interfaces, driving HR operations and leading local HR teams in Italy.
What competencies will you need?
- Strong knowledge of Italian labour law, employee relations, applicable collective labour practices, performance and talent processes, payroll interfaces, recruitment coordination with Talent Acquisition CoEs, compensation cycles, HR systems and data reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS tools.
- Italian: native or fluent. English: fluent professional level. Additional European languages are a plus.
- Business partnership, employment law and employee relations judgement, change management, influencing and communication, leadership and team development, collaboration with CoEs, project implementation, analytical mindset and execution discipline.
