Who are we looking for?

The Chemist/Materials Scientist will be an expert in paste and ink formulation for ActiveCopper products. The position is hands-on, where the ideal candidate will develop new processes and formulations to support customer needs internal engineering programs for scale-up.

What will you be doing?

  • Design and execute experimental plans to test new processes and formulations
  • Work closely with applications teams to iterate formulations based on their feedback
  • Work closely with synthesis team to ensure raw material meets formulation needs
  • Design and implement methods for large scale paste manufacturing
  • Maintain formulation database
  • Manage and track paste samples from request to final reporting
  • Apply analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and develop and execute experiments to implement those improvements
  • Prepare presentations to share results in a logical manner
  • Interface with quality professionals to execute quality control programs
  • Actively participate in workgroup team meetings to address safety, process improvement, problem-solving, and other workgroups, department, and functional topics.

Who are You?

  • A bachelor’s degree required in a STEM field, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, 3 years preferred, of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of chemistry and materials science is a must
  • Experience with formulation of pastes is a must
  • Experience in chemical and material analytical techniques (SEM, EDS, IC, XRD, TGA, DSC, GDMS, X-ray, UV/Vis), and working in a research laboratory is preferred
  • Experience in nanoparticle materials systems is preferred
  • Experience in inorganic chemistry and chemical analysis techniques
