Who are we looking for?
Under the direction of the Sr. Director - Manufacturing, the Engineering Manager will provide the MAES business with leadership that drives facility and work process improvements to meet the demanding requirements of our customers in the semiconductor and automotive industries. This position will support and drive organizational change to ensure that safety, quality and productivity goals are met, and that product and process development activities and continuous improvement programs meet the needs of our business and customers. The Engineering Manager is accountable for managing teams to support capital deployment, manufacturing engineering, process development and product scale-up.
What will you be doing?
- Capital planning to meet business unit goals. Lead process to prioritize capital projects into the corporate portfolio planning process.
- Execution of the capital program. Ensure all capital project proposals are consistent with business strategy. Lead projects through capital productivity processes, ensure competitive project implementation.
- Manage business costs associated with capex, period expense, depreciation
- Identifies project risks and develops mitigation strategies to protect against loss and business interruption.
- Provides competency expertise and promotes compliance with best financial practices
- Provide daily plant support for troubleshooting batch process deviations.
- Manage programs to improve first pass yield, reduce scrap and waste
- Manage and implement control plans and FMEA process for product families.
- Define and implement continuous improvement roadmaps to improve capability, yield, capacity and product cost.
- Conduct and manage SPC review process and drive reduction in variation.
- Implement process improvements to meet customer requirements for new and existing products.
- Use process automation and data analysis to improve capability of existing products.
- Develop roadmaps for best-known-methods in key process technologies such as, purification, filtration, packaging, particle measurement.
- Execute requests for samples of new products for customer trials.
- Design and implement shelf-life studies for new formulations.
- Lead technical design review process and HVM readiness activities to ensure that new products can be successfully transferred to manufacturing.
- Develop automation recipes and control strategies for new products.
Who are You?
- BS in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent & >15 years of relevant experience OR MS Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent & >11 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience developing teams and leading employees through resource management and project prioritization.
- Experience in new product development and scale-up of products and processes.
- Direct experience of customer interactions and expectations of semiconductor industry
- Strong knowledge of process controls and distributed control systems.
- Experience driving best practices for maintenance excellence/preventive maintenance.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills. Self-managing, proactive.
- Demonstrated leadership capability – personnel development, leading teams, resolving conflict, sound judgment

The typical base salary range for this position is between $92,402.00 to $138,604.00
