Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Production Operator to support the day-to-day operations of our chemical manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in producing high-quality products safely and efficiently.
You will be part of a skilled operations team responsible for running production equipment, monitoring processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
What will you be doing?
As a Production Operator, you will:
- Operate production equipment: Safely run reactors, mixers, pumps, and other machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor process parameters: Track temperature, pressure, flow rates, and other key indicators to ensure stable and efficient production.
- Perform in-process checks: Take samples, conduct basic quality tests, and report any deviations or abnormalities.
- Handle raw materials and products: Load and unload materials, transfer batches, and package finished goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and order: Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
- Follow safety protocols: Use personal protective equipment (PPE), follow chemical handling procedures, and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance: Assist with minor equipment adjustments and report issues to maintenance teams.
- Document activities: Accurately complete production logs, batch records, and shift handovers.

What competencies will you need?
- Production Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment is preferred.
- Process Understanding: Basic knowledge of chemical production processes and equipment operation.
- Safety & Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with chemical safety, PPE use, and regulatory requirements (e.g., COSHH).
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Quality Focus: Understanding of quality control principles and the importance of product consistency.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately complete production records and follow written procedures.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in chemical processing or manufacturing are a plus.
