LMS Technical Service Engineer
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused engineer to join our Light Metal Solutions (LMS) team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in materials science or engineering, who enjoys working directly with customers to solve technical challenges and support product applications in the light metals industry.
Responsible for Sales, Technical Service and Support for major LMS accounts across INDIA.
What will you be doing?
As an LMS Technical Service Engineer, you will:
- Provide technical support to customers and commercial teams on the application of chemical solutions for light metal processing (e.g., aluminum, magnesium).
- Conduct on-site trials, troubleshooting, and process optimization at customer facilities.
- Collaborate with R&D and product management to support new product introductions and technical evaluations.
- Deliver technical training and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze customer processes and recommend tailored solutions to improve performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Document findings, prepare technical reports, and contribute to knowledge sharing across regions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during all technical service activities.
Who are You?
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 15+ years of Experience in the field of Surface Finishing or similar field.
- Academic: Graduation OR Post Graduation, Chemistry as one of the subject/ Chemical Engineer.
- Strong and proven track record in plating knowledge and Technical Supporrt.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
What competencies will you need?
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of metal surface treatment processes (e.g., anodizing, conversion coating, cleaning).
- Familiarity with chemical formulations and their industrial applications.
- Ability to interpret lab and field data to support technical recommendations.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel regionally for customer support and trials.
