Who are we looking for?
The Director, Electronic Solder Materials provides strategic and operational leadership for all production, recovery, and material‑handling processes related to wave soldering, wire operations, and reclaim activities. This role ensures that manufacturing output meets quality, safety, cost, and efficiency targets while driving continuous improvement across equipment, processes, and teams. The director partners closely with engineering, supply chain, EHS, and quality to optimize throughput and maximize material recovery value.
What will you be doing?
Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
• Define and lead the global vision and strategic roadmap for the LOB portfolio.
• Translate BU strategy into actionable LOB objectives and execution plans.
• Develop and execute product lifecycle, pricing, and SKU rationalization strategies.
• Identify portfolio gaps and expansion opportunities in core and adjacent market segments.
• Lead customer segmentation strategy and commercialization plans.
Financial & Commercial Performance
• Accountable for global LOB revenue, margin, and volume targets, including margin health and profitability optimization.
• Develop targeted commercial strategies in partnership with regional teams to deliver sales and margin objectives.
• Oversee demand forecasting for the LOB and provide inputs to BU SIOP processes.
• Provide monthly performance updates as part of BU Business Decision Day (BDD).
• Lead market assessment validation processes (F1, F2, F3, and annual budgeting).
Market Positioning & Value Proposition
• Develop compelling value propositions aligned to customer needs and competitive positioning.
• Drive development and deployment of high-impact sales tools that clearly communicate product value.
• Ensure consistent global messaging across product management and marketing channels.
Technology & Innovation
• Lead the Technology Roadmap (TRM) process, ensuring cross-functional feedback loops and alignment to strategic growth priorities.
• Identify TRM gaps relative to total available market demand.
• Partner with Global Process Engineering Group (GPEG) to prioritize initiatives; develop business cases and ensure alignment to annual and long-range plans.
• Oversee implementation of new product development (NPD) initiatives and validation of product capabilities.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to align LOB strategies with profitability and efficiency targets.
• Ensure robust pipeline management and commercialization readiness.
• Serve as L2 owner of BTSO/KSIs as applicable.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure root cause analysis for strategic performance gaps.
Who are You?
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including leadership within product management, commercial strategy, or advanced materials/assembly markets.
• Demonstrated experience leading global portfolios and cross-functional teams.
• Strong financial acumen with proven ownership of P&L performance.
• Experience with SIOP, technology road mapping, and commercialization processes preferred.

As part of our team here, as well as receiving a competitive base salary, you will also participate in a generous performance-related bonus plan. In addition, you will also receive a 401k plan with company matching, Life Insurance, and Medical Insurance as well as 9 holidays. The typical base salary range for this position is between $145,789 and $218,683. Our pay range is based on several factors which are considered when determining any base salary.
