Who are we looking for?

 

We are looking for a hands-on and technically skilled Laboratory Technician to support our Sales team by conducting laboratory testing, preparing product demonstrations, and delivering high-quality analytical data to help customers understand product performance. The ideal candidate has experience in chemical laboratory work, a strong commitment to safety and quality, and enjoys contributing technical insight that enables commercial success. You will play a key role in helping customers evaluate solutions and supporting our sales team with reliable, accurate technical results.

What will you be doing?

 

  • Laboratory Testing & Analysis: Conduct routine and non-routine lab tests to support customer inquiries, product evaluations, and application development.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare customer samples, product blends, and formulations for trials, demonstrations, and comparative testing.
  • Technical Reporting: Record data accurately, analyze results, and prepare clear technical reports and summaries for the Sales and Technical Service teams.
  • Method Execution: Follow established test methods and SOPs; support the development and improvement of laboratory methods where needed.
  • Customer Support: Assist the Sales team with customer-facing technical requests and provide data that supports product positioning and troubleshooting.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate laboratory instruments and ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained, and safe to use.
  • Inventory & Lab Management: Maintain stock of lab supplies, manage sample inventory, and keep the laboratory environment organized and compliant.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, chemical handling guidelines, and quality management procedures.

What competencies will you need?

 

  • Laboratory Skills: Hands-on experience with chemical testing, preparation, and analytical techniques relevant to specialty chemical products.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation (e.g., viscosity, rheology, chromatography, spectroscopy, thermal analysis—depending on product line).
  • Data & Documentation: Strong data recording, interpretation, and reporting skills with attention to accuracy.
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of chemical safety protocols, PPE requirements, and safe handling practices.
  • Digital & Analytical Skills: Competence with laboratory software, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and basic data analysis tools.
  • Time & Task Management: Ability to manage multiple testing requests and prioritize work to support commercial timelines.
  • Quality Mindset: Commitment to consistent test methods, proper documentation practices, and adherence to SOPs and quality systems.
