DG Specialist
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a talented DG Specialist to ensure full compliance with all chemical and safety regulations. This role is responsible for overseeing regulatory documentation, reporting, and coordination with authorities and internal stakeholders, while playing a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient operations across the organization.
What will you be doing?
DIW & Thai Regulatory Compliance
- Manage DIW license applications for import, export, production, or possession of hazardous substances (particularly Type 3/ บฉ. 3).
- Submit annual reports of chemical production or import to the DIW regarding List 5.6 or other required substances.
- Ensure storage facilities meet DIW notifications, including proper segregation, safety signs, and emergency protocols.
- Review and ensure that all chemical products have Thailand-standard 16-section Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and GHS-compliant labels.
Operational DG Management
- Identify and classify hazardous substances based on DIW standards.
- Supervise the packing, marking, and labeling of dangerous goods shipments according to IATA (air) and DIW/IMO (sea/land) regulations.
- Prepare and review Dangerous Goods Declarations and related shipping documents to prevent delays at customs.
- Provide DG handling training to staff and maintain records.
Auditing & Communication
- Participate in internal and external audits/inspections by DIW officials as a subject matter expert.
- Act as the primary contact for DIW inquiries and regulatory updates.
Who are You?
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Logistics, or related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in chemical handling, warehousing, or dangerous goods logistics in Thailand.
- Deep understanding of the Hazardous Substance Act B.E. 2535, Ministerial Regulations on hazardous substances, and DIW notification guidelines.
- Certifications: IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) certification (Air), and ideally, IMDG Code (Sea) or ADR (Land) training.
- Strong command of Thai (for regulatory documentation) and English (for MSDS/international standards).
