Who are we looking for?

Element Solutions is seeking a dynamic Treasury Director to lead core Treasury operations with a strong emphasis on FX risk management, investment governance, debt compliance, and strategic Treasury reporting. This is a high-impact, highly visible role that blends hands-on execution with enterprise-level influence. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in corporate Treasury, a strong operational mindset, and the leadership presence to support global decision-making. This role will lead cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Finance Shared Services while driving Treasury transformation, policy compliance, and strategic liquidity management.

What will you be doing?

  • Treasury Strategy & Risk Leadership: Partner with the Treasurer to align FX, liquidity, and investment strategies with broader financial objectives. Act as a key contributor to capital structure planning, debt compliance, and global liquidity optimization
  • FX Risk Management (Global Ownership): Lead full-cycle FX hedge execution, effectiveness testing, and exposure analysis. Govern FX policy and ensure SOX/audit compliance, including documentation, MTM, and forward point analytics.
  • Investment Management (U.S. & Global Oversight): Execute and monitor short-term investments in accordance with policy and counterparty limits. Govern global investment practices and align activity with short-term liquidity planning. 
  • Debt & Capital Structure Oversight: Lead financial covenant tracking and quarterly lender compliance reporting. Manage interest expense forecasting, analysis, and alignment with FP&A budgets
  • Treasury Governance & Compliance: Own and maintain FX and investment policies, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs. 
  • Treasury Systems, Analytics & Transformation: Oversee Treasury reporting infrastructure, including Power BI dashboards and system enhancements. Manage external vendors and internal IT partnerships (e.g., RSM) to ensure issue resolution and data integrity.
  • U.S. Cash & Trade Finance Oversight: Lead U.S. cash positioning, funding decisions, and execution of high-value payments

Who are You?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CTP certification strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate Treasury, including increasing levels of leadership responsibility
  • Deep expertise in Asia FX markets and cross-border currency risk, especially in high-volatility or restricted jurisdictions (e.g., TWD, MYR, CNY)

What competencies will you need?

  • Proven track record in FX hedge execution, investment governance, and Treasury reporting
  • Strong understanding of FX risk management frameworks, SOX/internal controls, and Treasury audit readiness
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Power BI, and Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba)
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage across senior levels and drive process transformation
  • Hands-on and execution-oriented, with sharp attention to detail and a strategic, forward-looking mindset
  • Prior people management experience or demonstrated ability to mentor and develop Treasury team members

As part of our team here, as well as receiving a competitive base salary, you will also participate in a generous performance related bonus plan.  In addition, you will also receive a 401k plan with company matching, Life Insurance, and Medical Insurance as well as 9 holidays.

The typical base salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $169k and $253k.
