Mechanical Engineer

Who are we looking for?

As Engineer, together with the other team members you will be responsible for developing and implementing customized manufacturing equipment. This can range from continuous improvements initiatives at current machine or development of a completely new manufacturing process.

What will you be doing?

Safety

  • Following regional safety standards
  • Supply information where needed for CE mark and risk assessments

 

Engineering/Design of existing or new manufacturing equipment

  • 3D design (SolidWorks)
  • 2D design/drafting
  • GD&T knowledge 
  • Process visualization

 

Support

  • Equipment assembly and basic cable routing
  • Support/troubleshooting in site-related activities where subject matter experts regarding mechanical engineering are required.
  • Work together with the engineering, maintenance and production team for local or international sites
  • Contribute to estimated costs/time and project charter for new developments

 

Internal boundaries:

  • Interacts with regional ESI sites and GPEG coordinators

 

External boundaries:

  • Interacts with vendors and suppliers

 

General

  • Hour registrations by project
  • Reporting on performed work
  • Participate in weekly tier meetings
  • Writing and supporting on risk assessments and manuals

Who are You?

  • Bachelor of science in Mechanical engineering or similar is preferred
  • Based on 40 hours onsite availability, potentially 20% hybrid
  • Proficient in English language
  • 0-10% Travel

What competencies will you need?

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills (written and verbal)
  • Eager to learn, motivated and a team player
  • Basic electrical engineering knowledge preferred
  • Basic Mechatronic experience knowledge preferred
  • Knowhow of precision mechanics
  • Must abide by all Company policies/procedures, safety rules and government regulations
  • Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Addresses inquiries and resolves problems
  • Present a professional attitude and handle confidential information according to non-disclosure guidelines
  • Ability to work in an agile, high-paced and multi-tasking environment
  • Open for further development in fast developing technologies
