Cost Pricing & Masterdata Engineer

Business Unit:  MAES
Division:  Packaging & Board Assembly

Who are we looking for?

MAES’ primary production site for Solder Preforms is located in Naarden, the Netherlands. Unlike standardized catalogue items, over 90% of our solder preform designs are custom-engineered to meet specific customer applications. As a Cost Calculation & Masterdata Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely cost pricing for these bespoke products, supporting global sales and operational efficiency.

You will be responsible for managing cost calculations, maintaining master data—including item number creation and updates, and supporting financial processes that directly impact intercompany pricing and margin generation. This role requires precision, speed, and strong collaboration with product management, engineering, commercial, and finance teams.

What will you be doing?

Cost Calculation & Pricing

  • Perform detailed cost calculations for production steps (e.g., alloying, extrusion, stamping, cleaning)
  • Add overhead absorption and calculate unit costs for intercompany pricing
  • Ensure accuracy and responsiveness in handling RFQs (250–300 annually)
  • Apply price breaks based on order volumes to optimize unit costs

Masterdata Management

  • Create and update item numbers in the ERP system
  • Maintain and update cost-related master data in relevant systems
  • Ensure integrity of used data used in production planning, pricing, costing, and reporting

Support for RFQ Process

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to confirm production feasibility
  • Use centralized Lotus Notes database for RFQ routing and approvals
  • Provide timely and accurate cost pricing to Product Management

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare cost estimates for new items

Who are You?

Ideally you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, costing or manufacturing accounting.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles: BOMs, routings, standard/average costing.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with JD Edwards is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and cost awareness.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.

We understand that not all candidates may meet the requirements listed above. If you believe you have the skills and experience necessary to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.
