MacDermid Graphics Solutions is a supplier of consumable materials used to transfer images on to consumer packaging materials, our products are used to improve print quality and printing productivity. We produce and market photopolymers through an extensive line of flexographic plates that are used in the consumer packaging and printing industries. Photopolymers are molecules that change properties upon exposure to light.

Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Operator will be able to carry out the duties of this position without direct supervision, with due regard to personal safety and the safety of other personnel including visitors and contractors and with proper care of plant, equipment and inventory.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manufacture Polymers and Offshore fluids in accordance with batch cards.
  • Perform Pick and packaging of duties as required by the business
  • Completing relevant documentation.
  • Liaising with the Chemist to ensure proper sampling and testing is carried out.
  • Ensure all production equipment is in good working order.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment through regular cleaning of the Polymer manufacturing area and proper storage of inventory in allocated racking..
  • Observing Traffic management procedures.
  • Daily fork lift maintenance.
  • Participate in stock take activities.
  • Carry out other tasks as required under instructions from the General Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Able to communicate effectively with different levels of people
  • Able to solve problems independently with less supervision.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in processes or systems.
  • Identify, initiate, recommend and assist in the issue resolution process.
  • Verify and confirm the effective implementation of said solutions.
  • Fork Lift licence

Education

High school diploma or GED in Relevant industry
