Operations Director
Business Overview
As a global supplier of solder technologies, fluxes, cleaners and other attachment materials for the electronics assembly industry, we develop innovative materials that join electronic circuits in high volume device manufacturing. Our high-performing interconnect materials are used to assemble consumer electronics from circuit boards, discrete electronic components, connectors and integrated circuit substrates.
Job Purpose
As an Operations Director you will be responsible for managing and directing manufacturing operations, quality, production planning, materials control, engineering, maintenance, warehousing and distribution, HSE, for the plant by performing the following duties either personally or through subordinates.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct and control all activities within the manufacturing operations of the organization. Oversea manufacturing, quality control, production planning, materials control, engineering, maintenance, warehousing & distribution and health safety and environmental.
- Formulate, recommend and implement manufacturing or production policies and programs that are in line with overall business plan.
- Manage manpower planning and machine utilization within the site.
- Process owner for Quality system, Health, safety and environmental standards that are complied with local regulatory requirements and corporate policy.
- In partnership with Technical, Sales & Purchasing department on demand and supply of raw materials and production requirements.
- Responsible for managing the budget and capital expenditures for the plant
- Overall in charge of the facility managing a staff of approximately 25 people which requires direct implementation of the plant activities including planning, maintenance, quality, and EHS
- Leads the organization in continuous improvement in manufacturing and business processes to insure constantly improving levels of product quality, process capability, customer satisfaction and cost reduction.
- Monitors, reports on, and develops and implements improvement programs for key aspects of his area of responsibility including on-time delivery, first time right, scrap, productivity per man-hour, manufacturing expenses, safety performance, 5S housekeeping, customer complaints, overtime and training.
- Direct and implement the organizations safety/environmental program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.
- Develops plans for the training and upgrade of all personnel in the responsible organization.
- Represent Company as Management Representative in our Integrated Management System ( ISO9001, ISO 140001 & OSHA 180001).
- Other duties as assigned.
