MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is a global supplier of industrial metal and plastic finishing chemistries. We primarily design and manufacture chemical systems that protect and decorate surfaces. Our high-performance functional coatings improve resistance to wear and tear, such as hard chrome plating of shock absorbers for cars, or provide corrosion resistance for appliance parts. Our decorative performance coatings apply finishes for parts in various end markets such as automotive interiors or jewelry surfaces. Who are we looking for?

As a Technical Specialist, you will bring deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving capabilities to support the implementation and optimization of advanced surface-finishing applications. A solid background in anti-corrosion zinc and zinc-alloy finishing technologies is highly valued and will enable you to make an immediate impact in this role.

You will contribute to cross-functional success by applying your technical knowledge to solve complex challenges and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for industrial applications.

While working within your core area of expertise, you will also have the opportunity to broaden your technical scope across a diverse range of products, processes, and application technologies. This role requires curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuously expanding your skill set in a dynamic and evolving environment.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Support Sales Teams and Account Managers with process implementation, new line start-ups, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with customers and prospects through the delivery of high-value technical expertise and application support.
  • Drive the growth of the assigned product portfolio by developing and implementing effective technical strategies.
  • Stay informed of technological advancements, industry developments, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Evaluate market trends and customer requirements to identify future opportunities and support strategic business growth.

Who are You?

  • Technical degree in Electroplating, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.Curious and creative, with a passion for exploring new ideas, testing hypotheses, and thinking beyond conventional solutions.
  • Customer-focused, with a clear understanding of how technical decisions impact customer satisfaction and business performance.
  • Collaborative, able to build strong working relationships and communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

What competencies will you need?

  • Technical degree in Electroplating, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in the electroplating or surface-finishing industry.
  • Proven hands-on experience providing technical support for electroplating and related chemical processes.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically to support customers and business activities.
