Who are we looking for?
As an Intern with McDermid Alpha Electronic Solutions you will support the Operations Department using Continuous Improvement and Lean Tools to support the transformation of the business. In addition, you will work on various projects and initiatives that could impact the Business globally.

Conduct Value Stream Mapping + CI Transformation of Production Area
Train and Conduct Root Cause Problem Solving
Host CI Event (kaizen) focused on improving identified issues/waste
Development of Long Term Roadmap for Production Line
Support EHS + Quality Improvements within Facility
Exploration of Lean Manufacturing outside MAES with ideas to improve the business
What competencies will you need?
- Currently enrolled in degree such as: Business, Engineering, Supply Chain. Going into Junior Year or above (Industrial Engineering a plus, GPA of 3.0 a plus)
- Strong statistical, analytical, decision making & sense of urgency skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem-solving tools (e.g. fishbone, 5Why’s) a plus
- Project tracking + management, a plus
- Six Sigma Green Belt, a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a variety of environments and assignments.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

salary for this role is $20-$22 an hour.
