Who are we looking for?

To provide leadership as the EH&S Manager in Taiwan Hsinchu Plant, to ensure compliance to corporate and local safety and regulatory requirements.

Lead site audits, provide guidance to local team members to improve on EH&S controls in the plant, and verify effectiveness of implementation to ensure a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment.

Work closely with corporate EHS team to roll out global EHS initiatives.

What will you be doing?

  1. Ensure compliance with Corporate EHS Policy and drive improvements.
  2. Review statutory updates, identify relevant EHS requirements, and prepare compliance procedures.
  3. Lead and facilitate internal/external EHS and sustainability audits/surveys.
  4. Organize and lead regular EHS inspections, meetings, and monitor corrective/preventive actions.
  5. Develop procedures and programs to maintain compliance.
  6. Review new processes and lead risk assessments.
  7. Handle corporate EHS reporting requirements.
  8. Lead incident and accident investigations, and follow up on implemented actions.
  9. Plan EHS training programs to increase safety awareness, especially in a chemical plant.
  10. Review environmental test reports, implement corrective actions, and follow up on effectiveness.
  11. Plan and conduct emergency evacuation drills.
  12. Drive CERT emergency response and rescue protocols.
  13. Coordinate with departments, clients, and vendors/contractors on EHS issues.
  14. Promote a zero-accident culture to achieve group EHS KPI targets.
  15. Inspect machines/equipment/processes for accident prevention, conduct hazard identifications and risk assessments.
  16. Educate and train employees on safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  17. Manage the EHS system and documentation, act as MR for ISO14001.
  18. Submit and get approval for EHS licensing/permits, organize accident investigations, and track corrective actions.
  19. Perform other relevant ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Who are You?

  1. Degree, preferably in Industrial/ Chemical/ Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  2. With at least 2 years of experiences and sound knowledge of relevant regulations and legislations
  3. Minimum 5 years working experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
  4. ISO14001 lead auditor/auditor certification, familiar with local environmental and safety regulations or standards for a manufacturing environment.

What competencies will you need?

  1. Additional certification in HS, occupational safety and health, safety auditing, environmental control, confined space assessment, site incident controller, work height etc. will be added advantage.
  2. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
  3. Strong ability to critically think, self-guide, and educate.
  4. Excellent leadership and teamwork qualities in a diversified work environment.
