MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is a business unit of Element Solutions Inc (NYSE: ESI). Element Solutions Inc is a leading specialty chemicals company whose businesses supply a broad range of solutions that enhance the products people use every day.

MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is a global supplier of industrial metal and plastic finishing chemistries.  We primarily design and manufacture chemical systems that protect and decorate surfaces. Our high-performance functional coatings improve resistance to wear and tear, such as hard chrome plating of shock absorbers for cars or provide corrosion resistance for appliance parts. Our decorative performance coatings apply finishes for parts in various end markets such as automotive interiors or jewelry surfaces. As part of our broader sustainable solutions platform, we also provide both chemistry and equipment for turnkey wastewater treatment and recycle and reuse solutions. Our industrial customer base is highly diverse and includes customers in the following end markets: appliances and electronics equipment; automotive parts; industrial parts; plumbing goods; construction equipment and transportation equipment.

Job Purpose

Reporting directly to Vice President, Asia in MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, the Business Director is responsible to lead Japan sales team to grow Japan and Thailand Supply Chain Business. We need a sales mindset and experienced person who is familiar with Salesforce CRM, understand sales process and values proposition. With strong ability to lead a growing passion sales team to win new opportunities. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Growing Japan and Thailand supply chain as a target goal. 
  • Leading Functional sales and technical team in Japan for business in Asia. 
  • Conduct market mapping for Functional applications which MEIS should be focused in.
  • Create Value Selling for Functional coatings and solutions.
  • Adopt Atlas Revenue to Roadmap fully within six months.
  • Update on competitor activities, market demand and trend.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree related to Chemistry, Material Science, or Business-related degree is preferred. 
  • Leadership skill is essential for being responsible, caring, committed, take challenges, face risks, respectful and trustful. Be an agile and mindful leader.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry supply chain is essential.
  • Experience in process system, chemistry and equipment is essential to deliver our value proposals.
  • Good follow up and effective communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to speak and represent MacDermid Enthone positively in front of key or high level audiences.
  • Computer software skills are essential and experience with Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Willingness to do heavy travelling in Asia as required is essential, with the occasional requirement to be based outside of region for longer spells is also a requirement.
  • Have experience working for a western company
  • Have demonstrated commercial leadership.  This means leading a sales organization and successfully driving growth – hands on.
  • Have significant experience using Salesforce - Build, manage  and develop an opportunity pipeline &  Actively measure and monitor closed/won business.



Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or Material Sciences
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business or Relevant industry
