Job Purpose

Stock Control of all materials within the Compugraphics facility, including cleanrooms.  Working closely with all members of Materials Control staff and supporting the Production Manager   in their role.  Primary job metric is ensuring that other functions within the Company have stock items supplied as and when required, whilst at the same time avoiding excessive amounts of inventory.

Job Responsibilities

The general daily operation of the Materials Control function ensuring, that all work conforms to the appropriate procedures.  Errors and non-conforming operations must be minimised and eliminated.

Supply of materials as required by all Compugraphics Production departments.  This will involve stock level monitoring, manual counts and physical distribution of stock to point of use within the cleanroom.

Supervise the cleanroom garment service within the facility by distributing, sorting and checking garments, as they are returned from, and sent out to laundry service.  Provide the link between staff and the laundry service provider, reporting and following up with any issues to their satisfactory conclusion.

When required additional cleanroom activities may be necessary.  This may include movement of product, cleaning of mask carriers, chemical replenishment and any other Production support functions, including low-level maintenance and cleaning.  Training in these tasks will be given where necessary.

Product despatching as per the Company procedures.

The Goods In function, with the distribution of materials to designated stores areas.  

Be aware of any changes as they occur e.g. procedure updates, new system introductions, etc.

More senior staff within the department will give guidance.  The working relationship with this person is key to successful teamwork within the department.  This person should be considered as a mentor to enhance competence and confidence.

Maintaining regular contact with the Operations Manager.

Participate in any relevant problem solving.

Monthly Stock Checks.

Skills

Fork Lift truck driving will be necessary, for which training will be given, and which must conform to Company safety regulations.

Competencies

Good general health and the ability to work well under pressure in a demanding environment is essential as is the ability to work under own initiative with limited supervision self motivated and able to work well with others as part of a team. Previous experience of stock control is desirable, but not essential.
