Who are we looking for?
The Strategic Purchasing Manager is responsible for achieving the defined saving targets. Price comparisons and negotiations, supplier selection for the spend outside of the Sourcing / Category management for the addressed countries/sites. Payment terms, toller price control, management of shared imports from external suppliers and management of the right balance between lowest raw material prices and stock levels with local Site Managers.
Developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes to ensure cost-effective and high-quality acquisition of goods and services. This role supports business objectives through strategic planning, negotiation, and continuous improvement in procurement operations.
Another key task is to address tasks and targets to the Local Purchasing Managers and Purchasing Executives via a dotted line. Responsible for site specific raw materials, active second source search and security of supply.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies across assigned spend.
- Conduct supplier market analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs processes and evaluate supplier proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business goals.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze commodity data and industry trends to inform sourcing decisions.
- Support Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) system improvements and automation.
- Provide training and guidance on strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for procurement activities.
- Category Management, if possible
Who are You?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in strategic procurement or sourcing.
- Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Preferred certifications: CPSM, CPM, PMP, APICS.
What competencies will you need?
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents.
- Ability to respond to inquiries from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to write reports and present information to management.

The typical base salary range for this position is betweenk $128,636 and $192,954 per annum.
