MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is a global supplier of industrial metal and plastic finishing chemistries. We primarily design and manufacture chemical systems that protect and decorate surfaces. Our high-performance functional coatings improve resistance to wear and tear, such as hard chrome plating of shock absorbers for cars or provide corrosion resistance for appliance parts. Our decorative performance coatings apply finishes for parts in various end markets such as automotive interiors or jewelry surfaces. Who are we looking for?
This position is responsible for all day to day activities for shipping products and receiving raw materials. The position will also be responsible for inventory control in Ferndale as well as all DRP locations.
What will you be doing?
- Interviews, hires, trains, leads, directs, motivates, reviews performance, and helps employees develop
- Manages Shipping/Receiving employees, and Supervisor
- Analyzes/prepares reports (Quality, Inventory, Shipping)
- Interfaces/coordinates to schedule shipping with production
- Takes proactive action toward safety/environmental affairs
- Maintains ISO 9000 and ISO 14000
- Reviews disposition and takes necessary action on items that have Planning action required, communicates with Sales for customer usage information and makes all appropriate stock level changes to the item masters, and coordinates movement of material to other stockrooms where needed. Also adjusts work orders to accommodate rework/re-blend of non-conformance or slow/dead stock.
- Runs the following updated query/report on a weekly basis:
- Researches and analyzes data for customer complaints.
- Runs cycle count program on daily basis.
- Places replenishment work orders for finished goods and in-house manufacturing of raw materials. (refer to WF-WI-7001
- Reviews and advises status of Outstanding Customer Orders. (refer to WF-WI-7009) Also analyzes and reports root cause for outstanding customer orders.
- Communicates daily with manufacturing, regarding customer's changing requirements and manufacturing capacity issues.
- Responsible for identifying slow/dead stock through the MPS review process and is responsible to modify work orders accordingly. (refer to WF-WI-7001)
- Reports on manufacturing workorder schedule and status.
Who are You?
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues related to shipping.
- Ability to prioritize, set goals, and monitor employee performance.
- Full supervisory and managerial skills.
- Understanding of Chemical Manufacturing Operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, DRP planning, and shipping and receiving.

- Proficiency in SAP with understanding of MRP.

The typical base salary range for this position is between $94,402 and $138,604.
