Job Purpose
This position is responsible for operating production equipment to manufacture chemical batches and for handling hazardous waste according to written procedures and maintaining required log sheets.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate equipment, including tanks, pumps, mixers, pH meters, level meters, flow meters, valves, and hoses to manufacture batches of chemical products.
- Measures quantities of liquid and solid chemicals using scales and flow meters, and transfer the chemicals into tanks.
- Locate materials in the warehouse and transport to manufacturing using a forklift.
- Collect process samples and interface with laboratory personnel for analysis.
- Maintain required log sheets including but limited to batch tickets, packaging sheets, scrubber operation log, pH meter calibration, and equipment inspections.
- Package, mark, and label hazardous waste containers.
- Adheres to all corporate, plant and safety policies/procedures.
- Operate a forklift as applicable.
- Perform inventory cycle counts
- Other duties as assigned.
