Who are we looking for?
The purpose of this position is to actively develop and grow year over year the Metal Recycling, Metal Purchase volumes in the Region by visiting current and acquiring new accounts. To become a champion of waste legislation applicable to Metal Waste recovery and transport ensuring we are compliant with the guidelines. To actively promote the Recycling Product group in the market and indirect through our Sales Manager enabling the organization to optimize its sales efforts in the market for steeper growth.
What will you be doing?
In the Recycling Purchase Manager role, you will be responsible for setting with the Sales Management a clear action plan and strategy for the territories assigned within Europe to enhance the company’s presence in the market and to achieve set financial expectations and objectives. The role will acquire actively visiting current and new accounts mainly in territory Hungary and Romania, but support the Sales Managers' visits in Europe as well and maintain properly the CRM system.
- The Recycling Purchase Manager must be able to oversee, manage, and direct the Customers within the assigned territory to success which includes price negotiations, reporting on regional purchasing of reclaim materials and becoming known with the regulatory support for the movement of recycled metal materials internally and externally.
- To be able to co-ordinate and to become familiar with administration waste processes to partners assigned by the sales management ensuring best-in-class processes will remain in force and compliant with waste regulations.
- To take direct responsibility for all purchase/sales generated and to participate and provide on a quarterly and annual basis accurate sales and reclaim forecasting and budget
- Report monthly on the recycling business's financial, purchasing, and operational performance.
- Analyze data from business information systems and markets and take appropriate actions.
- Participate in the development of reclaim and sales pricing guidelines and the annual budget for the Recycling Business Unit.
- Support the Sales Managers regarding all recycling related questions -including regulatories- prepare the needed documentation, quotations, contracts
Who are You?
The ideal candidate has a bachelor/university degree (preferably technical, or in technical management), and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience, which should be in environment and /or waste management or sales/purchase or EHS. You need to have a high level of English knowledge, both in writing and verbal.

To be successful in this role, you will need to
- Be a technical person with interest of sustainability, recycling with a proven track record in selling/purchasing or waste management
- Have a high level of experience and capabilities in customer or supplier management
- Must have the ability to travel of your work schedule
- Ability to multi-task a number of various projects.
- Have experience in communicating with cross-border partners
- Have a high level of communication expertise (reporting, laptop usage for commercial presentations)
- Be good at planning actions by objectives and high capability to set priority and timing
- Have capability to monitor regular results and progress
- Languages required: Native Speaker of Hungarian and Fluent English (spoken and written)
