Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer who is responsible for delivering, managing, and enhancing the company’s cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) platforms.

 

What will you be doing?

The role focuses on the administration and maintenance of our cloud-based infrastructure and is part of a cross-functional team providing solution design and third-tier support for various enterprise solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Azure, server, storage, other Cloud IaaS technologies, and backup solutions. The role will own the Backup (Commvault) and Disaster Recovery (Azure ASR) platforms and work closely with global infrastructure, global information security, global applications, global support services, and program management teams to implement future infrastructure enhancements in all geographies. Additionally, the role involves implementing security controls, disaster recovery solutions, and IT policies and procedures, acting as a liaison between ESI users and third-party consultants.

You are required to travel during project implementations and/or for global team meetings.

 

Who are You?

Ideally you will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related area (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Systems) or 7+ years of experience in Information Technology, 5+ years infrastructure work experience; preferably with a global company. And

  • Project Management Experience
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Demonstrated, progressive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Windows, and PowerShell
  • Progressive experience with server and storage technologies, access and identity management platforms, and cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience architecting and maintaining solutions across hosted, outsourced, and cloud computing
  • 4+ years of relevant Microsoft Azure cloud engineering experience desired; experience in AWS or GCP will be considered
  • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code desired; ARM, Ansible will be considered
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell required.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration
  • Experience with backup solutions (Commvault, etc.)
  • Strong background in Microsoft applications and delivery systems, as well as the databases and data transport layers required to connect them
  • Working knowledge of IT security best practices in respect to cloud computing
  • Working knowledge of principles, best practices, architectures, tools, and processes of cloud computing
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation Certification
