Who are we looking for?
This role will drive profitable revenue growth for ESI in India for MacDermid-Alpha’s Semiconductor and Assembly Solutions business. This person will provide sales leadership and will be accountable for execution of our global BU strategies and break through initiatives, to achieve the company’s annual revenue and margin growth goals for this market. Including: defining and executing the tactics to: (i) CREATE new opportunities and pipeline for future business growth, (ii) compete and WIN new opportunities to generate profitable new revenue growth, and (iii) defend and GROW our relationships with customers to build a profitable, sustainable, and predictable revenue growth engine for our employees and shareholders for years to come. An experienced sales leader who continues to develop and drive a culture of “Sales Excellence”.
What will you be doing?
- To lead, develop and grow the commercial organization in line with our global strategic and annual plans with focus on sales execution
- Leads, coaches, and coordinates all selling resources and efforts for the business and all aspects of the revenue lifecycle: Demand Creation (CREATE.), Opportunity Management (WIN.), Account Management (GROW.)
- Drives and manages the sales plan and related sales processes, including forecasting, budgeting and where needed leads price and margin optimization efforts
- Maintains an active role in the development and growth of our most important accounts, including regular engagement with key stakeholders, assist and/or lead negotiations, define and execute on an account plan.
- Proactively develops and implements market development activities to gain exposure and awareness in the market with customers and potential partners
- Recommends and coordinates the marketing needs for to support demand generation and market growth
- Ensures the implementation and adoption of excellence standards including sales metrics, processes, methodologies, tools, CRM and information systems, expense and budget policies, variable compensation, training programs, and other sales related sales excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with, and in, cross-regional and -functional teams to support the growth globally and effectively prioritizes resources and activities with the best interest of the company at heart.
- Develops, nurtures, and manages a sales team including selection, hiring, coaching, retention, performance management, metrics, territory definitions, compensation, training, termination, etc.
- Continuously works on developing self and team in the best interest of the company
Who are You?
- A Bachelor’s Degree, or higher in an engineering field like Chemistry, Electronics, Mechanics or equivalent with experience in business, sales, marketing, or related field. An advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) is a plus.
- 15+ years of demonstrated sales management and leadership experience, exceeding annual sales goals of 100+ Mio, and leading and growing a regional or global sales team of at least 30+ people.
- Experience in selling advanced engineered materials for the electronics and semiconductor industry like soldering materials, coatings and potting, structural adhesives, die attach, thermal materials, plating materials etcetera and/or related closely related
- Track record in negotiating and crafting complex B2B deal structures
- Strong experience with structured sales processes, sales performance metrics, sales analytics, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce.com
- Willing to devote at least 50% or more of your time to traveling with team and customers (including international).
What competencies will you need?
- Proven track record in development and execution of a business plan and strategy
- Sales and sales management including team leadership, sales coaching, pipeline management, value equations/propositions, negotiation etc.
- Deep understanding of sales tools and technologies like CRM, sales enablement platforms, and other productivity tools. Competent in using one of the following Sales Methodologies is a major plus: RADAR from The Complex Sale, Strategic Selling, Target Account Selling, SPIN Selling, Solution Selling, etc.
- Project, time, and conflict management
- Proficient in English both verbally and written
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools.
