Who are we looking for?

As a Regulatory Affairs Intern, will support the European Regulatory Affairs team at Element Solutions (ESI) by handling product regulatory inquiries for chemical products manufactured and sold in Europe. This is an office-based role and no prior regulatory experience or training is required.

The Regulatory Affairs Intern will work closely with experienced regulatory specialists and gain hands-on exposure to European chemical legislation, regulatory data systems, and customer-facing compliance processes.

What will you be doing?

  • Support customer and internal regulatory inquiries via shared team mailboxes
  • Respond to standard regulatory questions (e.g. REACH, SVHC, PFAS, biocides, ozone-depleting substances, conflict minerals)
  • Perform basic compliance checks by comparing product compositions with EU and customer substance lists
  • Use internal tracking tools to log, manage, and assign tasks within the team
  • Identify non-regulatory requests and forward them to the correct department or contact
  • Support data quality and documentation consistency
  • Escalate complex or non-standard queries to senior regulatory team members

Who are You?

  • Student or recent graduate in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Interest in regulatory affairs, product compliance, or chemical legislation
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (filters, VLOOKUP and other similar functions)

  • Comfortable working with repetitive and structured tasks
  • Good written communication skills, especially for email responses
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions when unsure
  • Team-oriented and comfortable working with shared mailboxes and task systems
