Who are we looking for?
A driven, self-motivated engineer to lead the testing of materials developed by R&D. Candidate must be a keen learner with problem solving capability.
A key function of this position is to test the long- term reliability of the products developed by R&D. The scientist is required to handle lab scale powder atomization that is critical in the development of products.
This position will work with internal & global team members to develop methods, perform testing, and assure the quality of results.
What will you be doing?
- Work with internal & global team members to develop methods, collect results, and assure the quality of results.
- Operating, maintaining and calibrating of all the laboratory equipment.
- Performing tests to produce reliable and precise data.
- Accurately recording, documenting, reviewing, interpreting, and communicating experiments and resultant data.
- Recording results of every test and compile the test data.
- Staying updated with technical developments.
- Following strict safety procedures and safety checks.
Who are You?
- M.Tech./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engg. or Materials Engg. or Metallurgical Engg.
- 4 to 5 years’ experience after M.Tech. or 8 years’ experience after B.Tech.
- Must be safety focused, a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well within all levels of a fast-paced organization.
- Must be able to communicate results and lab issues in a timely manner with clarity and precision, both verbally and in writing.
What competencies will you need?
- Materials’ characterization like, tensile testing, creep testing, hardness testing, Charpy impact toughness testing, DSC and CTE measurement, structure-property-correlation.
- Soft skills – self-motivated, team player, analytical thinking, problem solving, eager to learn new skills, effective communication skills, resilience, result-driven, excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under strict timelines.
