Job Purpose

Looking for a new challenge?  Join our team at the Ashby site in the role of Account Manager - AF.  In this role, you will provide pro-active business development and strategic account management, and develop and execute on a strategic plan to meet sales targets.  In addition, you will also identify and develop opportunities for new customers and new market sectors as well as responding to re-active enquiries to actively secure new business and increase revenue opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain the existing AF Account customer base and sales as well as increasing profitable sales within existing customers by calling on accounts, as and when required.
  • Monitor competitive activity at target accounts, new potential customers and existing accounts and reporting to the Brand Manager – AF.
  • Recognise new opportunities at existing accounts and developing them.
  • Work with Customer Service and ensure that administrative matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare, validate, and submit sales revenue data to customers and when needed rebate data. Ensure that system files, both paper and electronic, are maintained accurately and to the highest standard.
  • Report on brand sales as required by customer.
  • Prepare, validate, and submit annual price list to customers.
  • Maintain orderly and comprehensive record cards within Atlas.
  • Present a professional attitude at accounts by understanding AF’s product range, applications, marketplace, and customer base and requesting training where necessary.
  • Become autonomous on the designated sales area by being mindful of AF’s financial strategies on topics such as Late payers, Bad Debts, Poor Credit Risks, Small users and Margins.
  • Achieve the agreed sales turnover target for the designated area together with main targets, as may be agreed in the future.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven business development/account management experience
  • Outstanding sales performance and customer service in a previous role(s).
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A level or equivalent, or through experience
  • Fluent in French and/or German is desirable.
  • Full driving licence
