Join our Warehousing team at our site in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

Job Purpose

In this role, you will support the Warehouse Manager with the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of goods to feed business operations, whilst complying with company policy and procedure, driving to exceed company KPIs and collaborating to meet to customer demand.

SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)

Job Responsibilities

  • Process and action daily picks for both raw material and finished goods, recording and reporting any discrepancies in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Prepare, pack and despatch customer orders, including preparation of regulatory transport documentation such as packing lists, delivery notes and dangerous goods paperwork.
  • Assist the Goods-in-Co-ordinator with the receipt of inbound stock, as and when required, including offloading and putting away of palletised deliveries in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Load outbound goods on to transport vehicles in line with health and safety procedures, whilst reviewing and checking the load and packing lists supplied, ensuring accuracy to validate the correct goods are being loaded and photographed.
  • Work and collaborate with the Transport Logistics team to aid the smooth movement of inbound and outbound freight.
  • Assist with stocktaking activities.
  • Ensure any hazardous materials are handled and stored in line with appropriate regulations. Work with the Warehouse Manager to identify non-compliance and assist with the management of flammable stored goods.
  • Ensure that MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment) and machinery are checked and signed off before each shift commences.
  • Ensure safe and clean working practices and that all company health and safety procedures are always adhered to.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid Forklift Truck and relevant MHE licenses

  • Knowledge of warehouse systems and Health and Safety at Work practices.
  • Good general IT skills
  • Communication skills

Competencies

  • Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive in problem solving
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Working hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 4.00 pm to 00.30 am with 30 minutes break, and Friday 11.45 am to 8.15 pm with 30 minutes break
