Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Employee who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality work, responds well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is committed to keeping production equipment and facility systems operating at their best.
You are someone who can troubleshoot issues, make repairs, and perform preventive maintenance while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You understand the importance of reducing downtime, supporting production goals, and finding better ways to improve equipment reliability and overall plant performance.

What will you be doing?
You'll be working with your hands every day to keep our equipment and facility running safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues on production equipment
- Performing mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery
- Welding and fabricating parts as needed to support equipment repairs
- Repairing and maintaining facility systems and equipment
- Completing general maintenance tasks throughout the plant
- Identifying and correcting equipment problems before they lead to downtime
- Working with operations and maintenance teams to keep production running smoothly
- Following all safety procedures while performing maintenance work
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with tools, and taking pride in keeping equipment operating at its best.
Who are You?
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, trade school certification, or an associate degree is a plus.
- Experience working with industrial equipment, machine controls, and 480V/3-phase electrical systems.
- Knowledge of HMI systems, AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and other industrial electrical components.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication work.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license within the City of Altoona is highly desirable.
- A dependable, safety-focused team player who enjoys solving problems and working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

What competencies will you need?

Strong mechanical skills and a willingness to get your hands dirty

Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment

Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment

Ability to operate forklifts and manlifts (or learn quickly)

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and wearing required PPE, including respirators

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety

Ability to follow directions, communicate clearly, and work as part of a team

- Starting rates from $28.77 to $32.70 per hour
- Shift Differential (2nd Shift: $0.70/hour & 3rd Shift: $0.80/hour)
- Daily Overtime paid for all hours worked over 8 hours per day
