MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is a global supplier of industrial metal and plastic finishing chemistries.  We primarily design and manufacture chemical systems that protect and decorate surfaces. Our high-performance functional coatings improve resistance to wear and tear, such as hard chrome plating of shock absorbers for cars or provide corrosion resistance for appliance parts. Our decorative performance coatings apply finishes for parts in various end markets such as automotive interiors or jewelry surfaces. As part of our broader sustainable solutions platform, we also provide both chemistry and equipment for turnkey wastewater treatment and recycle and reuse solutions. Job Purpose

The Account Manager will drive profitable revenue growth for MEIS and our businesses in the target market area.  It is preferred to have experience in the metal finishing industry as the position will interact daily with applicator facility owners, operators, technical staff and decision makers.

 

Assigned to a specific territory, the Account Manager is directly responsible for achieving year-over-year revenue and margin growth targets as well as assigned account objectives in the territory of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. (Other areas open for discussion)  The Account Manager maintains and expands relationships, revenues, and margins with all customers and prospects within the assigned territory for our business. 

 

The Account Manager represents the entire range of products and services to assigned customers and prospects, while leading the overall account planning and strategy development cycle to ensure the assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company, and to ensure the company achieves its year-over-year revenue and margin growth targets for the assigned territory of accounts.

 

These strategies include executing the tactics to: (i) CREATE new opportunities and pipeline for future business growth, (ii) compete and WIN new opportunities in order to generate profitable new revenue growth, and (iii) defend and GROW our relationships with our customers and prospects in order to build a profitable, sustainable, and predictable revenue growth engine for our employees and shareholders for years to come. 

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced sales executive to help us grow our culture of “Sales Excellence” in order to meet the needs of the territory...as well as the revenue, profitability, and growth goals set out for the entire business.

The position is a demanding and highly skilled job in which the person is knowledgeable in the prospecting and executive level sales process.  The role will require abilities including, but not limited to issue resolution, negotiation, relationship building and formal sales presentations. The position requires a proactive self-starter that is able to work closely and independently with customers, field sales and sales management to ensure the customer and companies interests are served while helping to promote companies line of products.

We are looking for someone who hopefully has experience in the Metal Finishing/Metal Plating industry selling/servicing. 

  • Ability to create and lead complex solution strategies to gain new business
  • Develop and maintain high level relationships with executive team at prospects and customers.
  • Must be able to manage, balance and prioritize multiple ongoing projects within customers.

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of field sales experience desired

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar software

  • Related Industry experience.

  • Knowledge of the industry, our customers, competitors, and our product line(s) is preferred.

  • Customer applications know how

    • can figure out how to make the customer's unique application work, using our products

    • can solve problems quickly based on broad past experience with other applications

    • hands on coordination of service within key accounts, including audits, process control, and troubleshooting

  • Effectively communicates, in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the company

  • Easily and quickly develops solid relationships with customers and other team members

  • Must be innovative and logical in problem solving skills and able to recommend resolution to issues both internally and with customers

  • Independent self-starter requiring limited direction & assignments from manager

  • Good time management skills - prioritizes well, follows up, etc.

  • This position requires the set-up of a home office, residence within assigned territory is essential.

Education

Bachelor's Degree preferred in Relevant industry
